We talked to the students of the second year of our sports coach training, who told us about the experiences they took with them, how they improved, and what their plans are for the future in the field of coaching and sports. Read what the training gave Rita Jánosi.
“As a sports parent, I face daily how difficult it is to help my child, to find the balance, when to encourage, how to increase his confidence, but not to put pressure on him, to let him live his childhood. 1 year ago, I decided to go into Sports Coach training in order to get help in being a support for my child, with which he can succeed both in sports and in life.”
Why did you choose Sport-Levelup Sport Coach training?
Several factors were important to me, primarily the professional background of the instructors. The fact that the training is internationally accredited and mentoring is provided also weighed heavily on Lat.
You did not learn coaching before the training. What did the fact that among the students there were already qualified coaches, athletes, trainers, and parents raising children who are athletes, give you?
I think that our group has such diverse experience and knowledge that it allowed us to expand our own way of thinking. Studying together with group mates with other abilities and skills in different fields was a huge advantage, as we became richer with many more solution methods and tools.
Tell us about a defining experience of your training!
The training included a lot of practical tasks. When I first took on the role of coach in supporting a real problem of a group member, it was an incredibly good feeling that at the end of a 20-minute exercise, I received the feedback that I had managed to open a new door, an opportunity that he hadn’t thought of before.
What was the biggest challenge for you during the training, which you successfully solved?
I slowly got to the point of accepting that I already have enough knowledge and tools to try myself in practice. The instructors and in the calm environment provided by my group mates, I managed to undertake this and after that I believed that I was capable of it.
What did you become more of through the training?
I got to know a new side of myself, I became aware of which qualities I have to be able to stand up well as a helper.
How do you apply/will you apply what you learned here?
I believe that as a sports coach, I can enable young athletes (and their parents) to gain confidence, improve their performance and reach their potential in all areas of their lives… starting with the sport they love!
To whom would you recommend Sport-Levelup Sport coach training?
I recommend it to everyone who wants to be mentally stronger or who wants to help an athlete or a sports team.
Anything else you would like to say:
At Sport-Levelup’s internationally accredited Sport Coach training, I not only gained knowledge, but I was able to constantly test myself, experience how I can help others, learn about my own abilities and really prepare myself to not only be able to support my own child, but to be able to to help others (athletes and their parents or even their coaches) to achieve their goals as a professional coach, to bring out the dormant performance in them.
